Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Ahmedabad – Heritage Exploration Begins

Upon arrival at Ahmedabad Airport or Railway Station, you will be welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel. After check-in and a short rest, begin your exploration of Ahmedabad’s rich heritage:

  • Sabarmati Ashram – The serene riverside home of Mahatma Gandhi, from where the Dandi Salt March was initiated. View his living quarters, original letters, and pictorial exhibits on India’s independence movement.
  • Sidi Saiyyed Mosque – Renowned for its iconic stone latticework window, known as the “Tree of Life,” this 16th-century mosque is a masterpiece of Indo-Islamic architecture.
  • Bhadra Fort – Built in 1411 by Sultan Ahmad Shah, this historical fort complex once served as a royal court and now houses many old gates and structures.
  • Sabarmati Riverfront Promenade – Enjoy a peaceful evening stroll along this beautifully landscaped promenade with gardens, fountains, and scenic river views.

Day 2: Ahmedabad – Velavadar National Park (Approx. 145 km / 3 hrs)

After breakfast, check out and drive to Velavadar, home to the famous Blackbuck National Park, a protected grassland reserve known for its open savannah and high blackbuck population.

  • Check-in at a wildlife lodge or resort near the park.
  • In the afternoon, embark on a jeep safari inside the park, where you can spot:
    • Herds of graceful Blackbucks with spiraled horns
    • Other species like Nilgai (Blue Bull), Indian Fox, Jungle Cat, and Jackals
    • Raptors such as Harriers, especially during winter migration

Enjoy the tranquility of the grasslands as flocks of birds soar overhead in this unique ecosystem.

Day 3: Velavadar – Sasan Gir (Approx. 200 km / 4.5 hrs)

After breakfast, proceed towards Sasan Gir, the last natural habitat of the Asiatic Lion. On arrival, check-in at your forest lodge/resort and enjoy lunch.

In the afternoon, visit the Devalia Safari Park (Gir Interpretation Zone):

  • This fenced zone within the park offers controlled sightings of Lions, Leopards, Sambar Deer, Spotted Deer, Blue Bull, and Hyenas in semi-wild conditions.
  • Great for families or those short on time wanting a quick but rewarding wildlife experience.

Day 4: Gir Jungle Safari – Return to Ahmedabad (Approx. 330 km / 7 hrs)

Rise early for a thrilling morning jungle safari inside Gir National Park:

  • Accompanied by a trained naturalist, explore the dense deciduous forests and rugged terrain
  • Spot the majestic Asiatic Lions, Indian Leopards, Striped Hyenas, Four-horned Antelope (Chowsingha), Sambar, and diverse birdlife

After safari and breakfast, check out and proceed to Ahmedabad. On arrival, check in to your hotel and relax after the long journey.

Day 5: Gandhinagar – Adalaj – Departure from Ahmedabad

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and begin your final day with cultural and architectural highlights:

  • Akshardham Temple, Gandhinagar – A grand Swaminarayan temple built with pink sandstone, featuring intricately carved domes, spiritual exhibitions, and the famous Sahajanand Hall with robotic shows and audio-visual presentations on Indian culture.
  • Adalaj Stepwell – A five-storied 15th-century stepwell built by Queen Rudabai. This architectural marvel combines Hindu and Islamic motifs and served as a community water source and resting place.
  • Calico Museum of Textiles (entry subject to prior appointment) – One of the finest textile museums in the world, showcasing ancient Indian fabrics, tribal weaves, religious textiles, and Mughal-era garments.

In the evening, you will be transferred to Ahmedabad Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey, taking with you the memories of Gujarat’s wildlife, history, and living culture.
