Day 1: Arrival in Bhuj – White Rann Sunset & Cultural Night in Dhordo
Upon arrival at Bhuj Railway Station or Airport, you will be welcomed and transferred to Dhordo, a picturesque desert village hosting the world-renowned Rann Utsav on the edge of the White Rann of Kutch.
After check-in at your tented resort or eco-camp, enjoy lunch and leisure time exploring the Rann Utsav marketplace filled with Kutchi handicrafts, mirror work, leather goods, and traditional textiles.
In the evening, visit the White Rann, a stunning salt desert that shimmers under the setting sun. This magical experience is one of the highlights of Kutch tourism.
Return to the resort for dinner and a cultural evening with traditional folk performances, live music, and local cuisine.

Day 2: Sunrise at White Rann – Kalo Dungar – Road to Heaven – Arrival in Dholavira
Wake up early to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the White Rann, where the golden light glistens over endless salt flats. After breakfast, check out and begin your journey towards Kalo Dungar (Black Hill).
Located at the highest elevation in Kutch, Kalo Dungar offers panoramic views of the vast White Rann and is home to the Dattatreya Temple, an ancient shrine wrapped in local legends.
Continue driving towards Dholavira, crossing the surreal stretch known as the ‘Road to Heaven’—a narrow path flanked by salt plains that creates the illusion of an endless road into the sky.
Arrive at Dholavira, situated on Khadir Bet Island, and check in to your eco-resort or desert camp. The evening is free to relax and take in the stark, peaceful beauty of the landscape.

Day 3: Explore Ancient Dholavira – Mandvi Excursion – Return to Bhuj
After breakfast, explore the remarkable Dholavira Archaeological Site, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most prominent cities of the Indus Valley Civilization, dating back over 4,500 years.
Key features include:
- The Citadel and Lower Town – with advanced urban planning and fortification
- Water Management Systems – reservoirs, channels, and step wells reflecting ancient engineering
- Indus Script Signboard – one of the earliest known signboards in the world
- Bead Workshops & Public Spaces – indicating trade, craft, and civic life
Optionally, visit the Dholavira Fossil Park, showcasing Jurassic-era fossilized trees and offering a prehistoric glimpse into the desert’s ecology.
Post lunch, begin your return journey and proceed directly to Mandvi for a short sightseeing break. Visit the elegant Vijay Vilas Palace, the royal summer residence of the Kutch rulers, built in 1929 with Rajput-style domes, jharokhas, and marble pillars.
If time allows, enjoy a relaxing walk along Mandvi Beach or observe traditional wooden dhow-building at the Shipyard.
By evening, reach Bhuj and check in to your hotel.

Day 4: Bhuj Heritage Tour & Departure
After breakfast, check out and embark on a Bhuj city heritage tour.
Visit the grand Prag Mahal, a European-style palace with a Gothic clock tower and Corinthian architecture. Right next to it is the Aina Mahal, known as the Hall of Mirrors, filled with 18th-century royal artefacts, mirror work, and Indo-European artistry.
Optionally, visit the Smritivan Earthquake Memorial & Museum, a modern tribute to the victims of the 2001 Gujarat earthquake, offering immersive exhibits, panoramic views, and beautifully landscaped hills.
After the tour, proceed to Bhuj Railway Station or Airport for your return journey, concluding a deeply enriching Kutch experience.
